About This Song
About "Now Thank We All Our God" by John Rutter
Thanksgiving rendered as architecture: Rutter's setting stacks voices like rising masonry, each phrase a beam of gratitude. The tune's simple nobility is dressed in radiant counterpoint, but listen for the minor shadows beneath the brass—a recognition that praise only matters when it remembers the dark. Joy with its sleeves rolled up.
