About This Song
About "Opening" by Carter Burwell
The 'Opening' of Carol is a study in quiet anticipation. Burwell's piano motifs drift like snow through a window, each note a hesitant step toward connection. Beneath the serene surface, a subtle dissonance hints at the ache of forbidden desire—calm and unease intertwined.
