About "Sand On My Shoes" by The Kinks
A sun-bleached outtake from 'Something Else,' all gentle strum and Ray Davies' weary whimsy. Sand in shoes becomes a metaphor for stubborn memory—each grain a fleeting summer. The tune is breezy but haunted, a holiday postcard with a smudged message.
