About This Song
About "Gentleman" by Meshell Ndegeocello
Meshell Ndegeocello oozes velvet menace over a lean, dub-funk groove. 'Gentleman' is a wolf in silk, its suave bassline and whispered vocals barely containing a simmering threat. Elegance and unease intertwine like smoke through a keyhole.
