About This Song
About "The Funeral (From "The Painted Veil" Original Soundtrack)" by Alexandre Desplat
From The Painted Veil, 'The Funeral' is a slow, processional ache—low strings and a solitary piano line tracing grief's geometry. Desplat avoids sentimentality, letting the tension between stillness and collapse speak. A vivid, somber portrait of loss without catharsis.
