About This Song
About "I Need A Man" by Barbara Pittman
Pittman's voice struts through a jukebox crackle, all brass and bravado. The 1950s rockabilly swagger hides a desperate edge—she demands a man like a storm demands a roof, the guitar riff a sharp heel-click on a diner floor, hungry and unapologetic.
