About This Song
About "Docteur Jekyll et monsieur Hyde" by Serge Gainsbourg
Gainsbourg's 'Docteur Jekyll et monsieur Hyde' is a cabaret of duality—sleazy, theatrical, and dripping with menace. The arrangement slinks between elegance and ugliness, a perfect mirror for the song's split personality. It's French pop as psychological horror, delivered with a smirk.
