About This Song
About "Short-Haired Woman Blues" by Townes Van Zandt
A jaunty, tongue-in-cheek blues number that swings with honky-tonk swagger. Van Zandt's playful growl contrasts with the song's underlying loneliness, turning a simple complaint into a wry commentary on desire and its complications. The music smirks, but the heart aches.
