About "Stabat Mater, RV 621 : Vivaldi: Stabat Mater, RV 621: III. O quam tristis et afflicta" by The English Concert
The English Concert renders Vivaldi's 'O quam tristis' with piercing clarity, the countertenor's line a dagger wrapped in velvet. Beneath the baroque polish lies raw grief—Mary's sorrow distilled into a single, trembling phrase that refuses to break.
