About "Mass for five voices (1995 Digital Remaster): Sanctus" by Choir Of King's College, Cambridge
Sanctus, sanctus, sanctus—the thrice-holy cry becomes a spiral of sound, trebles ascending like incense smoke while lower voices hold the floor. Byrd's counterpoint feels both ecstatic and controlled, a trembling awe pressed into formal perfection.
