About "J.S. Bach: J.S. Bach: Aria mit 30 Veränderungen, BWV 988 "Goldberg Variations": Var. 22 Alla breve a 1 Clav." by András Schiff
Variation 22 arrives like a sudden gust—alla breve, brisk, and bracingly contrapuntal. Schiff's touch is crisp, each hand chasing the other through tight canonic hedges. The effect is a momentary agitation, a brief flurry of order that feels both rigorous and strangely exhilarating.
