About "Keyboard Concerto No. 1 in D Minor, BWV 1052: II. Adagio" by Glenn Gould
The Adagio of BWV 1052 is Gould at his most introspective. The piano becomes a lone voice in a vast, dim hall, each phrase a measured breath. The orchestra hovers like mist, offering no comfort. It's a moment of suspended time, a meditation on melancholy where beauty and sorrow are indistinguishable.
