About This Song
About "Prickly Ash" by Carter Burwell
Burwell's 'Prickly Ash' bristles with quiet menace. The title suggests a plant that protects itself with thorns, and the score mirrors that defensive beauty—delicate melodies wrapped around dissonant edges. It's a piece that rewards patience while keeping you on guard.
