About This Song
About "We Don't Need Him Do We?" by Carter Burwell
A brief, poignant exchange set to music, 'We Don’t Need Him Do We?' carries the weight of a child’s loyalty. Burwell’s simple, repeating piano figure circles like a worried thought, its calm surface barely concealing a tremble of abandonment and fierce love.
