About This Song
About "Serenade Is Dead (Live, Grand Olympic Auditorium, 9 August 1985)" by Conflict
A serenade collapses under its own romantic weight, the melody curdling into a sneer. Conflict bury tenderness beneath barbed chords, a funeral for sentiment staged in a sweaty Los Angeles hall. The tension is between what's promised and what's delivered: a lullaby that wakes you with a jolt.
