About "Steeplechase" by Charlie Parker
Parker and Miles Davis race neck-and-neck on this Savoy burner. Steeplechase is bebop as horse race: hurdles of chord changes, jockeying solos, and a breakneck finish that leaves the listener breathless, grinning at the sheer athleticism.
