About "Götterdämmerung / Prologue : Wagner: Götterdämmerung / Prologue: "Welch Licht leuchtet dort?" (Live In Bayreuth / 1967)" by Annelies Burmeister
Annelies Burmeister’s voice cuts through the twilight of Wagner’s Prologue, asking “Welch Licht leuchtet dort?” as if tracing a ghost-light across the Rhine. The live 1967 recording captures a fragile calm before the world’s unraveling, each phrase heavy with foreboding.
