About "What Child is This? (Arr. J. Rutter)" by Cambridge Singers
Rutter's setting of 'What Child is This?' wraps the familiar tune in velvet choral layers. The question hangs in the air like breath on frost—gentle, yet edged with mystery. The singers' restraint makes the lullaby feel like a secret, cradled between wonder and foreboding.
