About This Song
About "Symphony No. 4 in A Major, Op. 90, MWV N16 "Italian": I. Allegro vivace" by Boston Symphony Orchestra
Mendelssohn's 'Italian' Symphony opens at a gallop—sunlit strings, woodwind chatter, and a melody that leaps like a traveler cresting a hill. Ozawa captures the Allegro vivace's restless energy, all blue skies and racing pulses. Beneath the brightness, a faint ache of longing flickers.
