About "There Goes My Date With Doug" by Alternative TV
A title like a deflated balloon, 'There Goes My Date With Doug' is a comic tragedy of small disasters. The music stumbles with a shambolic charm, all wrong notes and wounded pride. It's punk's answer to a rom-com gone sour, and it's gloriously petty.
