About "Piano Sonata No. 1 In C, Op. 1 : Brahms: Piano Sonata No. 1 In C, Op. 1: 1. Allegro" by Anatol Ugorski
Brahms' first sonata opens with an Allegro of youthful, sprawling ambition. Ugorski attacks the massive opening theme with architectural force, letting the music swell like a cathedral being built in real time. It's a young man's manifesto, full of storm and conviction, and Ugorski plays it without apology.
