About "16 Waltzes, Op. 39 : Brahms: 16 Waltzes, Op. 39: No. 14 in G-Sharp Minor" by Aloys Kontarsky
In G-Sharp Minor, Brahms's Fourteenth Waltz turns inward. Kontarsky's playing is a study in restraint: the melody curls like smoke from a snuffed candle, beautiful and faintly ominous. It's a waltz for empty rooms, where the echo outlasts the step.
