About This Song
About "Messa da Requiem: Lux Aeterna" by Chor Der Bamberger Symphoniker
Lux Aeterna bathes the listener in a strange, unearthly glow. The chorus yearns for perpetual light, yet the harmony flickers with unease—a candle guttering in a draft. Donizetti's setting is less comfort than a haunting, beautiful question.
