About "Requiem: IV. Sanctus" by Cambridge Singers
The 'Sanctus' from Rutter's Requiem is a hushed, trembling acclamation—not a triumphant shout but a whispered awe. The Cambridge Singers layer voices like incense smoke, each 'Holy' floating upward with fragile intensity. There's unease beneath the beauty, a sense that the divine is both near and terrifyingly vast.
