About This Song
About "On Your Knees" by Alternative TV
A submissive pose turned into a power play, with grinding guitars and a vocal that's half-command, half-plea. The title suggests surrender, but the music seethes with defiance. The tension is between the posture of supplication and the sneer behind it—a kneel that's really a coiled spring.
