About This Song
About "Mozart: Die Zauberflöte, K. 620, Act 2: "O Isis und Osiris" (Sarastro, Chor)" by Bernard Haitink
Sarastro's invocation rises with solemn grandeur, Haitink marshaling chorus and orchestra into a pillar of sound. The prayer to Isis and Osiris feels monumental yet intimate, a plea for wisdom that trembles with mortal vulnerability. Darkness and light converge in this hushed, ritualistic awe.
