About This Song
About "My Country 'Tis Of Thee" by Billy Preston
Preston reimagines 'My Country 'Tis Of Thee' as a slow, soulful meditation, his voice quivering with reverence and quiet protest. The sparse arrangement—just piano and voice—strips the anthem of pomp, leaving a fragile, introspective plea for a country that lives up to its ideals.
