About "5 Flower Songs, Op. 47: No. 1, To Daffodils" by Cambridge Singers
Britten's 'To Daffodils' sets Herrick's carpe diem plea in crisp, bittersweet harmony. The Cambridge Singers capture the flower's brief glory—bright bloom, swift decay. Each phrase is a petal falling, beauty and loss entwined in the same breath.
