About "5 Flower Songs, Op. 47: No. 4, The Evening Primrose" by Cambridge Singers
Britten's 'The Evening Primrose' unfolds in slow, dusk-colored harmonies. The Cambridge Singers sustain a fragile hush, as if the flower might close at any sound. The tension between nocturnal beauty and encroaching darkness makes this a quiet masterpiece of restraint.
