About This Song
About "Gloria, RV 589 : Vivaldi: Gloria, RV 589: I. Gloria in excelsis Deo" by John Alldis Choir
Vivaldi’s ‘Gloria’ bursts open with trumpets and choral radiance, a Baroque blaze of celestial light. The John Alldis Choir balances exultation with disciplined restraint, each ‘excelsis Deo’ a spire rising from earthbound doubt. Joy here is not naive but hard-won, trembling with awe.
