About "Sacrum, R.586 - rev. Franz Giegling : Vivaldi: Sacrum, R.586 - rev. Franz Giegling: 2b Gloria: (Adagio) Et in terra pax" by Anthony Rolfe Johnson
Anthony Rolfe Johnson's tenor floats over Vivaldi's Adagio 'Et in terra pax,' a plea for peace that feels less like resolution than a held breath. Strings sigh beneath, the baroque ornamentation a gilded cage around longing, serenity shadowed by doubt.
