About "Confirmation (Live At The Royal Roost / 1949)" by Charlie Parker
Parker's 'Confirmation' from a 1949 Roost date is a masterclass in controlled abandon, its intricate head giving way to solos that feel both inevitable and spontaneous. The live setting adds a palpable edge—audience chatter, clinking glasses—framing genius as something almost casual.
