About "Vivaldi: Dixit Dominus in D Major, RV 594: I. Dixit Dominus" by Choir Of King's College, Cambridge
The opening 'Dixit Dominus' erupts with ceremonial brass and choral declamation, a psalm set as royal proclamation. Vivaldi's counterpoint is muscular, the choir a crowd of heralds, yet the harmony keeps a flicker of unease beneath the triumph.
