About This Song
About "Vivaldi: Gloria in D Major, RV 589: II. Et in terra pax hominibus" by Choir Of King's College, Cambridge
Vivaldi's 'Et in terra pax' arrives not as easy calm but as a hard-won truce, strings and voices locked in luminous counterpoint. The promise of peace on earth flickers between major and minor, a dove testing the air before committing to flight.
