About This Song
About "Blues for Alice" by Charlie Parker
A blues for a lost love, 'Blues for Alice' is elegant and wounded. Parker's line dances with a limp, each phrase a graceful stumble. The tune's cool surface barely contains a well of sorrow, making the swing feel both sophisticated and deeply human.
