About This Song
About "Relaxin' At Camarillo" by Charlie Parker
Written during a stay at Camarillo State Hospital, 'Relaxin' at Camarillo' is deceptively serene. The melody floats like cigarette smoke in a sterile room, but Parker's solo betrays a restless mind. It's a lullaby for the wired, calm and jittery at once.
