About This Song
About "Au Privave" by Charlie Parker
A French-inflected title for a hard-swinging blues, 'Au Privave' crackles with wit and urgency. Parker's phrasing is a series of elegant shrugs, each note a tiny rebellion. The tune's calm surface hides a turbulent undertow of rhythmic invention.
