About "Piano Sonata No. 16 in C Major, K. 545 "Sonata facile" : Mozart: Piano Sonata No. 16 in C Major, K. 545 "Sonata facile": I. Allegro" by András Schiff
The 'facile' sonata opens with deceptive ease, Schiff's fingers tracing sunlight across the keys. But this Allegro is no mere exercise: beneath its cheerful surface, a current of poised melancholy flickers. It's the sound of a smile that knows too much, elegant and quietly unsettling.
