About This Song
About "12 Variations in C Major on "Ah, vous dirai-je Maman", K.265 : Mozart: 12 Variations in C Major on "Ah, vous dirai-je Maman", K.265: Theme & Variations 1, 5, 6, 8 & 10" by András Schiff
Schiff teases Mozart's nursery melody into a set of crystalline miniatures. Each variation is a tiny door opening onto a different mood: playful, wistful, faintly absurd. The theme's innocence is dissected with affectionate precision, revealing how much wit can hide inside a child's tune.
