About "Babik" by Boulou Ferre
Named for Django's son, 'Babik' is a darting, playful tribute—Ferré's fingers sprint through bebop-inflected lines with gleeful precision. The mood is infectious swing, but a tender undercurrent lingers: a lullaby disguised as a chase, inheritance rendered as fleet-fingered joy.
