About "Djangology" by Boulou Ferre
The manifesto tune: 'Djangology' is Ferré's crash course in Gypsy jazz vocabulary, delivered with brisk, scholarly swing. The melody's jaunty confidence belies its harmonic sophistication—a classroom exercise that doubles as a thrill ride, tradition passed down like a secret handshake.
