About "Marudzi Nemarudzi" by Thomas Mapfumo & The Blacks Unlimited
Thomas Mapfumo's chimurenga groove is a slow-burning fire. The title speaks of people and their kin, and the music honors that lineage—hypnotic guitar lines, a steady pulse, and a voice that carries both defiance and tenderness. Roots as armor.
