About This Song
About "Carrie Returns Home" by Pino Donaggio
Carrie's return home is scored with aching strings and a fragile, lullaby-like melody that curdles into dissonance. Donaggio captures the tragedy of a home that is also a prison—the comfort of memory poisoned by the promise of violence.
