About "Now's the Time 3" by Charlie Parker
Another pass at the same blazing theme, this take reveals Parker's improvisational mind at work. The melody becomes a shifting mosaic, each note a shard of glass catching light. There's a tense beauty here: the band's tight swing barely contains the leader's explosive ideas.
