About "Carrickfergus" by Brian Houston
Houston's 'Carrickfergus' is a slow, salt-soaked lament. The traditional ballad becomes a meditation on exile and longing, with guitar lines that drift like fog over gray water. There's a quiet devastation here— a homesickness so deep it feels like the tide pulling at your bones.
