About "Piano Sonata No. 4 in A minor, D.537 : Schubert: Piano Sonata No. 4 in A minor, D.537: 1. Allegro ma non troppo" by Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli
Schubert's early A-minor sonata finds Michelangeli balancing classical poise with a quiet ache. The opening Allegro moves like a walk through familiar rooms where something is slightly off—melodic warmth undercut by harmonic unease, the pianist's touch both tender and unsettlingly exact.
