About "Romeo and Juliet, Op. 64 / Act I : Prokofiev: Romeo and Juliet, Op. 64 / Act I: No. 12, Masks" by Boston Symphony Orchestra
Masks whirl in a dizzying carnival of shifting identities, Prokofiev's pizzicato strings and skittish woodwinds darting like revelers in shadow. Boston Symphony captures the breathless thrill of disguise—laughter masking fear, flirtation veiling threat. The gaiety spins on a knife's edge.
