About "Romeo and Juliet, Op. 64 / Act I : Prokofiev: Romeo and Juliet, Op. 64 / Act I: No. 15, Mercutio" by Boston Symphony Orchestra
Mercutio leaps from the orchestra in a quicksilver scherzo—Prokofiev's portrait of wit and bravado. Boston's woodwinds sparkle with mischievous energy, strings darting like a duelist's blade. Yet the music's frantic edge hints at recklessness, a charm that will prove fatal.
