About "Romeo and Juliet, Op. 64 / Act I : Prokofiev: Romeo and Juliet, Op. 64 / Act I: No. 7, The Duke's Command" by Boston Symphony Orchestra
The Duke's Command descends with heavy, ceremonial brass—authority carved in stone. Boston Symphony renders Prokofiev's stern motif with chilling gravity, a decree that stifles youthful rebellion. Calm and control masquerade as order, but the low, ominous pulse betrays the tyranny beneath.
