About This Song
About "WOMAN" by Tony Joe White
Tony Joe White's swampy blues-rock growl coils around 'WOMAN' like kudzu on a fence post. The song moves with a slow, humid menace—a porch-light flicker of admiration and wariness—as White's lived-in voice paints a figure both earthy and untouchable, rooted in the muck of The Swamp Fox.
